From May 1 st 2004, The EEU is expanding and staff from Poland, Slovakia and Lithuania will be able to come to the UK and Ireland and work without any work permit restrictions. The staff available are generally students or graduates wanting to come and work in UK for period of 3 – 12 months. They all have previous experience within the Hospitality industry at home or abroad. Many of them participate in student work programmes in the USA for at least one summer. We deal with two agencies from Slovakia, each having over 250 personnel signed up to come to the UK and work in 2004. Each member of staff has completed a full application form for the agency and references are available with each application form. Most of the staff speak excellent English and are looking for positions with accommodation. Positions sought are general assistants, housekeeping, waiting and bar work. Some have experience of front desk and other skills. We have details of all the staff available and can e mail all relevant information to you as soon as we receive a request for staff. Most positions must be offered before the member of staff has left their home country. Ideally two weeks notice of the job offer should be made, prior to the staff travelling. CHEFS We deal with an agency in Romania which has over 400 chefs available to come and work in the UK. The chefs have worked all over Europe, some in the USA and on Cruise Lines out of Miami. Their skills cover Commis Chef, Chef de Parti, Second Chef up to Head Chef level. Generally their English is good and they speak other European languages as well. They want to come and work in the UK and we have detailed CV's available for you to have a look at. Once you have selected the chef that you want from the CV's supplied, it is necessary for you to apply for a work permit from the Home Office. For information about work permits and visas etc visit the following sites :- www.workpermits.gov.uk ( you can down load the work permit forms from this site. ) Only when the work permit has been approved and granted can the employee leave his home country.
